Best Deer Caliber?

270win and a 20ga sabot for those "shotgun only" areas...but I sure do love my 7mm-08, but they are not economical or common to find. I have never been anywhere that sold ammo and didn't see 270win...not bad @ 100yd for an old huntin rifle

The correct answer is 308.You were already told that.But buy an other caliber so we don't have new ammo flippers.308 is the ONLY caliber anything else is just wrong.

Whatever you can positively and comfortably hit a quarter size from 100 yards with.

Numerous tests have been conducted and the findings...most hunters can't even come close to that kind of accuracy even from a bench...

I am not trying to be a smart ass , I read a lot of shooters mags and have read this many times, most hunters are happy with pie plate sized groups at a 100 or 200 and thats fine , but most of our equipment is capable of more..
