I have killed deer with 270, 308, 30/06, 243, 7 mag and 45/70. As said before a property placed expanding bullet from almost any center fire rifle will kill a deer. The real debate is whether I should shoot a pointed soft point bullet that costs say $30/box or Bergers that would cost $75/box from the same rifle? Dead is dead. Gimme the PSP bullets for $30

The guy above with the truck pics has the right idea….. no need for the gun though. Just ride around backroads at 60mph at night and kill more deer than all the hunters combined. Just load them in the back after you’ve hit them. Easy peasy!

All you gotta do is call the DNR and say "I hit a deer and it is suffering on the side of the road, can I put it down?" Free deer meat all year long. Lol
