i bought a 100 count of astra year or two ago when i made the switch

they work ok but since then i have had the chance to use shark and parker blades, both of which i prefer. the astra does ok, but alot of them will have an excessive amount of glue residue on the blade from the package covering. plus they are manufacuted in russia and owned by gilette and i dont shave with soy boy **** no more.

shark was really good and they are made in egpyt with the parkers being made in USA. i found the parker blades to be cleaner and nicer than the shark blades but the shark blades are cheaper

i would try feather but im afraid of putting japanese steel to my neck lol i have heard they are crazy sharp.

anyone got another suggestion or should i stick with shark or parker?

While on the subject, what kind of brush do you use?

I use my wife's shaving soap but she hasn't made it in forever. Never was a big seller.

i use standard gel on the face honestly. havent gone full shaving lather yet lol

I got tired of lathering up with my hands and then having to rinse them AGAIN. Using a brush is the bomb-diddly.

I use a cheap one - haven't invested in one of the ones made in England that cost 100 bucks.
