While I have the Kimber Custom Stainless II, my son's wife bought him a Kimber Raptor II as a welcome home present after his deployment to Afghanistan.

I prefer a Govt. length 1911. I have carried my TLE II(middle) with Crimson Trace and I currently carry my Super Carry Custom(bottom). I like the bobtail and the alloy frame on the Super Carry Custom. As far as the Crimson Trace, it is nice to have it. Just because you have it doesn't mean you have to use it but it is nice to have as an added advantage.
