Best pellets

I’ve tried quite a few Sams, Traeger, Weber, RecTec, and a bunch of different flavors. Personally I like the RecTec ones the best (black & white bag). If you go to RecTec they are $20/40lbs. Second is the Traeger signature ones.

I've been using the Kingsford Hickory lately. They produce good smoke, not much ash, and great flavor. Home Depot and WM carry them. $15 per 20lb.

Good to know. Can you find the Recteq pellets locally, or do they need to be ordered?

Kingsford are ok but I rather have the RECTEC IMHO and in my RECTEC One thing is for sure you're going to love that smoker.

Rectec blend and Bear Mountain makes good pellets.

I've run a bunch in my RecTec 680 (800#+). Currently burning the Sams pellets in hickory/oak combo. I liked the flavor better than the fruit wood mix they have.

cheap sams pellets are great for everyday, but we smoke a bunch over here. If I wanna treat myself, cookin' pellets comp blend is fantastic.

Anyone tried the Weber pellets?

I have. No go for me. Ive tried most and had decent results as far as flavor and low ash but have had the best flavor outta the RecTec pellets and Costco and pit boss.
I go to Augusta ever so often and when I do I go by RecTec and load up on pellets.
