Best Rifle Caliber For My Needs

Hello everyone! I am looking for some advice on a good rifle caliber for the following uses. I am looking for something that I can use for Whitetail Deer, Hogs, Cyotes, and other similar size game. Nothing really big like Bear. I would like a lighter rifle, not too much recoil, and something that I can kill game with out to 300 yards. Another important factor to me is ammo availability/price so it needs to be easy to find and not too expensive. My thought right now is the .308 but I am open to any and all suggestions. Thanks!

308 is definitely a good all around and ammo is very plentiful and affordable. 308 is what I mainly run with.

.308 or .243. Go with .308

If you want an AR15 style rifle 6.8 SPC or 6.5 Grendel. Both kick less than 308 too.

I was going to say 7.62x39 AR until you said 300 yards. 308 or 6.5 Grendel would be my vote. If you can't kill it with a 308, you need to practice more.

Creedmoor for less kick but 308 is always a great choice

308 for sure, but for that range, I wouldn't turn away a 270 either....
