Best scope for a lever 30-30

You can't discount Leopold quality but it does come with a premium cost. I was also going to add that although Burris is not a Leopold it is less expensive and comes with a lifetime guarantee no questions asked.

Forget the see-through mounts, and run an LPVO. 1-4x is fine for a .30-30, but don’t pass up a 1-6x or 1-8x at a good deal.

You can dial a 6x down to 4x, but you can’t dial a 4x up to 6x……..

That scope will work fine, but it is bigger than you need. But, hey, maybe you got a smoking deal on it and can use it with great appreciation. I have the Leupold Vari-X-IIc 3-9x50 on a 30.06. It has worked very well and has never required adjustment to maintain zero with deer ammo. It may sit a little high on the lever gun in order to get the proper clearance. Look closely at the turret adjustment scales, mine are 1/2 MOA per mark. Since there are no clicks, you can park the pointer between two marks to get a 1/4 MOA adjustment. It holds zero quite well, you do not need the clicks.
