I'm looking to tac out a .410 semi auto for the truck. I've read siaga is picky about ammo and also gas issues when shortened. Panzer, I know has issues. Black Aces i read has issues too. So my question is, is there a stock .410 semi auto that is reliable shortened, that i havent found? OR is there one I can shorten with minor adjustments. Thanks. cmshoot cmshoot

Ammo availability with the 20ga is better than .410. Not as good as 12ga, but waaaaaay better than .410.

Semi-auto .410's are rare birds, and tend to be older fancy trap n' skeet guns, and such. They tend to be expensive. Roughly $2000 for a Remington 1100 .410.

A 20ga semi-auto will be much easier to find, and much cheaper.

A 12ga semi-auto is even easier to find. A 12ga with reduced recoil loads punches about like a 20ga, and the ammo is easier to find.

Plenty of super cheap old .410 pump guns, single shots, and decently priced Turkish and Russian double barrels.

Thanks dude. I was looking for something that kicks light but can make a hole .410 seemed right. Maybe I'm being to specific on reality vs expectation.
