Agree on the price, msrp of 850? Can't see buying one ever, but especially not at that price.
I did read a review, I like Savage bolt guns and this seems to be a decent product, but I'd get a 6920 in that price range.
The Blackhawk stock can accept a recoil pad...you know, for all that 5.56 recoil.

I dunno... Kinda like it. Real street price ought to be OK.
That said, everyone should start with the cheapest entry-level AR they can find, shoot it enough to figure out what they want/need, then build from scratch.
