I was stationed at Benning and yes, you can kill every hog you can find. I loved the hunting at Benning. Even though Fort Stewart hunting awesome. I would still road trip to Fort Benning for some hunting and fishing.

Do you eat any of this pork? If so, do you process yourself? Or take it somewhere?

I process every one I kill myself. I smoke the hams, sausage the shoulders, and season the loins. There isn't much fat, if any, and that depends on the time of year. If cleaned correctly and quickly, there is no "game" taste and is like any store bought pork.

I do give a lot of it away; but I never waste any and the freezer stays pretty full.
