I'll bet you two dollars that it will be MUCH less then 10 years. If it goes 5 more years I would be shocked...

Its coming ladies and gentleman.... Just stick your head in the sand and keep voting for the same jokers and RINO's that you always do.
bingo ! Voting and educating the voters that count is what has to happen, write emails, make phone calls, ***** as much as possible. We must get the people to the polls that count !

Abramski was arrested after police thought he was involved in a bank robbery in Rocky Mount, Va. No charges were ever filed on the bank robbery, but officials charged him with making false statements about the purchase of the gun.

see it shouldn't even be legally possible for that to be held against him if he was in fact innocent of the crime he was arrested/investigated for. I am, for one, SICK of LEO and DA's fishing for some reason to prosecute even the innocent. Yeah your free to go but now you under arrest.......makes no sense and it happens all the time......we need to shut our mouths sometimes because we are all too free with personal information.

in all honesty what relevance does the firearm have to the crime? he was either involved or not.......the firearm is merely and accessory to his supposed location at the time. So if it bears no relevance then he shouldn't even have answered any questions related to it.

I could be arrested for a crime I didn't commit and say I was at Wendy's when I may have been at Burger King and end up in this situation all because I don't really care enough about where I ate to remember it........there is such a lack of prudence in the judicial area and I applaud the LEO's and others who actually use prudence and treat people as part of the community that they are and we have some excellent members here that fit this.

It doesn't even make sense to arrest someone with the pre-supposed mindset that they are guilty......I seriously try to hold out til all the facts are in while others break out the pitchforks and torches.

disclaimer- the opinions expressed herein are my own and don't necessarily represent and particular demographic or regional viewpoint :)

This is very true. I watched a video a while back about what to say and what not to say when talking to police. It's better to not offer anything. The police are very good at just standing there and letting someone talk thier way into a hole.

Here it is:

Ok, how about people, let's say who buy 2 Glock 42's and an hour later post both for sale at a much higher price with no ID required?

ya that is frowned upon by the ATF and they can be prosecuted for it probably (doubt anything will happen but it "could")

if you want to make selling guns your job, then get licensed

That's very weird. I guess he could have bought the gun, said he didn't like it, then sold it to a family member for $400. Would that have made a difference? If not, then its like saying, "You are the original buyer of this firearm and then you sold it, your in big trouble!" Georgia State law allows private sales of firearms so at what length of time must you own a firearm before its not considered a straw purchase? We see it all the time on here... just look at the recent Glock 41 and 42 threads...

Here is my opinion. If a person buys a firearm with someone else's money for that someone else or with a pre-agreement to be fully reimbursed in exchange for the firearm, I think the buyer has crossed the line in regards to a straw purchase. To buy it with the intent to sell to some unknown person in the future is a different issue and has (may have) its own problems. To buy as a gift or for yourself... all is good.
