Is it just me or does it seem lately a lot of posts are asking for a bill of sale?
I know this topic is beaten to death but there are a few guns I'd have liked to buy, but don't really want some stranger to have my personal info......

And yes as a good capitalist I fully support the idea they can choose to sell their property in any way they wish. Just seems weird to require something that won't protect you in any way. And goes against the whole freedom thing....

I have found that if they are a new member, they really don't know what a BOS is, or that it's a useless piece of paper.
If they are seasoned member, they are just paranoid or ignorant.
They are coerced into marking "YES" because that's the only option, there is not a "NO" box.
It's kinda the same way with shipping, the only answer is "NO".

As soon as I see BOS YES I close it and move on.
I wish there was a way filter out the BOS required ads, or just have a separate category for the paranoid.

I always use BOS when selling. Not for a paper trail though. I use it for the 'As is no warranty' line. I've usually put 10k-12k rounds through the LNIB stuff I sell. I don't want warranty issues.
