As some of you may have heard one of our own has been hit in the gut of late. Saving you the major details but @billieco was diagnosed with some extremely bad news this past week. He’s taking it in stride but most folks would be devastated with the news he received.
I can speak for most folks in saying that Mr. Gearcraft is a great dude and we have seen him blossom into a thriving business offering us odt’ers discounts basically every chance he could. Here’s our chance to give back to him. Knowing @billieco he wouldn’t consider taking a handout so we devised a plan.
Once a few of us caught wind of his “bad news” we immediately sprang into action in true ODT fashion. We have pitched in to bring to you this beautiful blade to auction up for our friends’ unforeseen medical costs...
First up for Auction is: BNIB Blade Show 2017 Ultratech Bayonet (Ends Friday 16th 9:00 pm)
This Ultratech features a bayonet blade with a black finish and a standard cutting edge. It has a contoured, black 6061-T6 aluminum handle with a bead blast finished pocket clip, glass breaker, and stainless steel hardware. It also says Blade Show 2017 on the chassis which is pretty hard to acquire (sold out in less than 45 minutes at this year’s blade show) and the blade is the bayonet style.... Microtech equipped this version of the ever popular Ultratech D/A OTF knife with a smooth, contoured handle design that promotes increased comfort during use. This updated model provides the same dimensions, hardware, and durability offered by the "Tri-Grip" variation, but goes easier on the hands and pockets.
For those unfamiliar with the Ultratech, it's a fully automatic knife with a double-action out-the-front mechanism, meaning the thumb slide deploys the blade and retracts it as well. The Ultratech knife from Microtech has set the bar for all OTF knives.
