He received his certification to be a "hike in fly fishing" guide for Alaska this summer. He is coming home in October, but going back in April to get his "Guide Certification". This course covers hunting, fishing, hiking and back packing. At that point he will be able to go anywhere in the world as a certified guide.

You can go visit him and get fishing lessons!
Best of luck to him. Going off on a job like that is perfect for a 19 year old. A great way to see other parts of the US before he's tied down with a house and kids and stuff.
Great excuse/reason to go see him!! Take me!
I also wish y’all both the best and I know that it will be harder on dad than son
