black talon?

Black Talon is a hollow point round that was discontinued a few years back after they were used in a crime that gained notoriety and caused them to be labeled as killer rounds. The special properties that made them desirable have been surpassed by several newer, less stigmatized loads. By now the existing stock of Black Talons has become more collector item than sensible carry load. Check out the tables on this web site :

Also at the bottom of the photo section is the Winchester SXT"black Talon". This guy has some GREAT info.

Incidentally, not only is there plenty of ammo that performs better for a better price, it is also less ammo for overzealous prosecutors and wrongful death lawyers to point at and say "SEE, he loaded his gun with ammo known for being overtly deadly. He WANTED to kill!". All nonsense but very theatrical for juries etc.
