Blood mountain is my go to spot for riding anyone else a regular up there? Here’s some pics from my Wednesday I spent on two wheels.

I'm up in the area pretty often but unless it's during the week I tend to avoid blood mtn. It's gotten to be a bit like a mini deals gap sometimes. I usually head towards clayton via back roads, or north on 60 towards tellico plains. orange 1290 Super Duke if it's on the street. Dainese gear (black/fluo red mesh if it's hot or white/black/fluo red if leathers).

The road from Walhalla SC to Highlands NC is a nice ride

Not much traffic either
And any road around highlands is curvy

When a road gets its own website and Facebook page it’s too crowded

About 4 years ago we were coming back to Athens from Murphy.

Going over Blood Mtn.

Young woman going west went wide in the curve, hit gravel, lost control, and went across two lanes right into the side of a mini-van. She hit the van so hard she knocked the wheel entirely off the vehicle. She flipped up on the windshield and slid to the ground. She was gone.

Her bike went over the guard rail and down the mtn. about 100 vertical feet,

We were the second car behind the mini-van.

We have been back to Murphy several times, and we take the long way around now.
