Blueing

Lever actions are actually really easy to work on. They just seem like it would be that way from the outside. I've reconditioned several Marlin 30 30s in there quite simple. Any gunsmith worth his salt can work on it Marlin 30-30 or a Winchester. It just depends on if you want a cold blue or a stronger hot blue. Hot blue and can run in the upwards of 250 to 400 hundred dollars if you ship them the whole gun. But once you get the lever out the bolt slips right out and the ejector is just nothing but a flat spring it's pressed flat again when the boat comes forward and it can't be installed incorrectly.

This one was beat the crap before I got a hold of it. Had no blue was all surface rust in the wood was in horrible condition. The pic of just the receiver and lever is not a very good pic the light makes some areas look like it didn't receive the blue but it was in excellent condition and everything was blue very dark when I was done.
