Does anyone have any experience touching up the bluing on rifles and/or repairing scratches? I'm looking at trying to repair the bluing on my Winchester 94. G96 bluing cream was recommended but I've never tried it. Not looking for perfect quality but I'd like it to look nice and to last.

I have used the cold liquid bluing in a bottle for years. I use it to touch the sights from regular wear with a q-tip. The cream looks nifty and if as claimed "blends in without streaking" then I would consider it. If you are able post before and after pics if you move forward with whatever cold blue you decide on and post it in the gunsmithing section.

depends on the damage. just scratches can be repaired with a blueing pen. if its on the reciever it may be aluminum which is different.
