BNIB listings?

What’s up with all these ‘never shot’, ‘brand new in the box’ listings? Are these retail employee listings? Most are for sale only at fairly high prices. I’m just curious and yes, I just move on.

Some people (myself included) very rarely shoot the guns they buy. I shoot two or three guns I own. 98% of my gun collection is BNIB.

Some people collect firearms just like some people collect Star Wars toys. New in the box gets the highest dollar and is the most desirable to other collectors.

Yea there's a few suspects on here. Usually lock threads and will only meet at gas stations 5 mins from their "work"
