bob gun

I still think something in 22 WMR would be a good choice. The PMR 30 would be perfect if it weren't so damn expensive. Think about it. 30 rounds in the mag and 60 if you have an extra mag. And a box of 50 more rounds takes up about a third as much space as 50 rounds of any other ammo. I still think the wheel gun is the key for bug out bags. But if you want auto pistols then the Phoenix Arms 22 in range kit form with both barrels would be good. And I believe they can be had for about $180.00.
Aside from that check the pawn shops for Kel Tec P3ATs, Rossi 38 specials. Armscor 38 specials,PA63s etc.

These are dog gone neat, Brother in Law has one and we shot at Christmas, great trigger, good sights, his goes bang every time and hits where it is aimed. Now the deal would be sealed it they came out with a carbine companion that shares mags. Cool don't cover that by half.

Check out the Heritage Arms "Rough Rider" .22 cal revolver.
For $125 you get a surprisingly accurate 7-shot .22LR with interchangeable .22 WMR cylinder.

Not fancy, but it is light, cheap and reliable.

If you're talking about the PMR 30 then there will probably be one before long. As far as I can tell the PMR is a copy of a pistol that Grendel produced in the early 90s. It was called the P30. They are hard to find but there IS one on GB right now. And there was a carbine version known as the R31 that used the same mags. Good rifles but pretty rare and very hard to find.
I believe that Kel Tec will eventually build one when they get caught up on production. I'm fairly certain that Kel Tec was the successor to the old Grendel facility and tooling. They're even in the same Florida town. Hell if you like 380 and you can find one the old Grendel P11 was a favorite of mine.

You guys are awesome there was a lot I was not factoring in but I think now we will be able to make a better choice
Now I don't personally know the guys I mentioned to you about the RG and Astra 38 revolvers. And I aint tryin' to do their advertising for them. But either one is a good deal. If you're close to them you should check them out. I would feel good about having either one in my go bag.

Something russian, cause reliability and serviceability trumps all.
Maybe a cut down mosin in a folding stock? You could use it as a club too :p Or, with bayonet, a tent post.

feeding problems... I don't know what cause the one to blow up he stated he shot it a handful of times before at least a box each time and was almost all the way thru the box he was shooting.

Only thing that will make a blowback pistol explode is a bad cartridge or squib in the barrel. If you check out that torture video they did, you'll see how it works. It took an act of a functioning cold war era congress to get that thing to blow.
