I'm a fan for the AR7 too. I ain't had one since the Charter Arms built rifles. They ARE a great addition to any go bag or dedicated go vehicle. But what I don't get is why they're up in the $300.00 range now. I know about inflation and the gun market being subject to outside stupid factors. But the AR 7 has been expensive ever since Henry took it over. And an AR 7 that's right at $300.00 is as pointless to me as an SKS that's now $500.00 or more. Seriously, at the $300.00 mark you can get a nice new 10/22. And $500.00 is real close to AK money.
If we're talking regular 22LR then I like the looks of the Phoenix Arms HP 22 in the range kit form with the extra 5" barrel,extra finger rest mag, hard case and lock. And all for under $200.00. Granted, I like the tip up barrel Beretta 21A a lot better but we're talking two bills and under.
