lost my first deer in 12 years on Wednesday........single lunged a doe and tracked her for 200 yards and she went off the property....

I hate to admit it but yesterday morning I was daydreaming in my climber and I catch movement out of my left side and loom over to see a beautiful 8pt only 10 yards away, walking right past me. I attempt to stand up and he stops and looks right at me. He loses interest and starts walking again, I immediately pick up the bow and as I draw he is already back in thick brush........never came back.......a 5 second encounter, and I blew it.
