Brass Shining Made Easy!

with steel pins i assume

No... I didn't bother with steel pins. Haven't for a while now. I tumble for a half hour to an hour in two cups of water to one drip of dishsoap, then rinse, then another half hour or so in the lemon juice solution.

Regards,

Josh

You can get this same result without a wet tumbler. I use a similar solution in my cement mixer for large batches. But when I have a small batch I put the in a jar with hot water, lemon juice and dawn. Shake well and let sit for a couple of hours or even over night. Then dry and dry tumble. The results are great.

I guess that's easier than with the pins, but it's still a heck of a lot slower than a vibratory with corn or whatever, once you factor in drying time and hassle.

And with the pins, the cases are so clean on the inside they bind up on the Dillon powder funnel/expander. I'll never buy used brass cleaned that way again. Plain ole vibratory is what works for me. Ultrasonic for the match rifle brass.
