I stream music and the voice from the gps over the speakers. If that is illegal than I am going to loose my license. What about if I am using the satellite to stream tv for the kids.

Under current law, if a LEO witnesses, or thinks he witnesses you, and doesn't like your attiude, or is feeling pissy that day, can arrest and charge you with both various misdemeanor "driver safety" violations, up to felony wreckless driving and child endangerment. Even though you were in complete control of your vehicle the whole time and posed not public safety threat.

Go straight to jail, do not pass go, do not collect $200. Happens all the time.

I spoke to several ODT lawyers. They gave me advice but in the end told me there wasn't much that could be done.

I supposed I could have paid some lawyer a couple thousand to save me 500 bucks.

Two way text based wireless communication devices are illegal while operating a vehicle.

GPS is not two way text based
DVD is not two way text based.

Driver inattention is also illegal however.

If they want to install high res cameras on the highways, and use those images as evidence to establish probably cause and investigate people for texting while driving, I am fine with that, as long as they don't use those images to track movements beyond such specific instances.

Your government would never, never, never, never, never use the images from those cameras for anything else.
