Browning BAR sling swivel?

Hello,

Just bought a used BAR and cannot figure how/where to attach front sling swivel? Take down screw does not have hook. Rear of stock has attached hook as usual. Any thoughts/advice?

Your stock must have been modified or replaced. On both of mine, the front sling attachment mounting point is about 3" back from the front lower edge of the forearm. Same spot as on most rifles.

Thank you for the info - yes it certainly could be a replacement forearm - I will look at Cabelas and Midway for some swivels.
Just picked it up and so far I LOVE a BAR.
