So my buddy has a beautiful blue pit....great dog, well trained, real sweetheart of a dog. They did all the right things when they got him....researched the mom and dad, met the breeder, met other dogs sired by the same pair. His wife decides she just has to have another when this one is 5ish years old. Didnt research squat, found it through a friend of a friend of a cousin of a friend etc.....

This dog is a female, gangly, not nearly as good lookin, but seems ok at first. They have had her close to a year, did some training but I dont really know how much. She has slowly become more aggresive towards the male 5 year old blue in the last few months and last week has shown aggression towards the wife. They have 2 small grandchildren that frequently visit so this aggression is not an option.

Question to you pit owners/lovers.....do yall know of any rescue groups that would take her and rehab her and eventually find her a home.

Unfortunately that dog will either kill the other pit or disfigure or kill a grandchild. I spent years dealing with aggressive dogs not just pits and they would be ok while alone but introduce another dog, small child or put your had near the food bowl and it was instant attack. I wish you luck. As far as pit rescues they are overwhelmed. They will perform a temperament test And if the dog fails they will not take the dog.

Thanx guys. His opinion and mine is that the only safe thing to do is have her put down, but the wife is feeling guilty. I'm gonna share this thread with him.
I was a euthanasia tech. I can tell you that it is a painless peaceful process when performed by a trained
Individual.
