Scrap 2x4s with a couple pieces of furing stop for spacers. Holds furring strips 18" apart for USPSA/idpa targets.

If you want reactive targets without the mess of clay pigeons or Shatterblast targets, use crackers and Nilla Wafers. Shatter when hit with a .22, birds and bugs will eat the mess.

You can freeze colored ice cubes with a string in the middle of each one. Hang them so they dangle and blast away.

Fruits and vegetables also make good reactive targets and feed the critters when done.

Hey guys I'm looking for ideas for target stands for a youth shooting event that I can put together on a very limited budget.

Plant Hanger shepherds hook and paper plates. Cheap small and strong enough to hold a 2"x3" ar550 plate at 100 meters with a .308 all year long.

I use the pvc stand. Held up a couple years now, but we don't suck enough to shoot the pvc.

Round up some old election signs, the plastic “cardboard” ones with the metal H stands. They can last a couple hundred rounds with a .22
