Building a “Go To” AR

Been doing a little thinking lately, and I have been considering building a higher end “Go to” AR. Not high high end AR, something more like the BCM range. My question is, is this even worth it over, let’s say a Palmetto State or Ruger for the price. If it is better, what are some good brands in the BCM range. Mostly looking at Barrel, BCG and gas block. Want one that is go to for accuracy, reliability, and mobility (not heavy barrels).

Optics will come later.
Not really big on the trigger, standard mil spec has always been good for me.

I went with a Colt 6720. Handles great and fills all my needs and was around $850 or so.

I love good Triggers. Colt 6920 great “go-to” AR. I have a Spikes Crusader 14.5 that’s my super reliable go-to.

Maybe look at integrity arms and survival or call them, but what’s wrong with a bcm since you mentioned it?

Nothing wrong with BCM, just wanted to see what other comparable companies or parts are out there in that range. What would people use here if they were building their main AR
