Building collapse in Miami Beach

The building was in the midst undergoing its 40 year review. Engineers have been inspecting the building over the past weeks. It’s wild timing. Another week, maybe days and they may have been able to find a warning sign.

:tinfoil3: Somebody should be looking VERY closely at those "engineers" crawling all over that building!!!
Hardly a whisper about this community being 99% Jewish, large population of Hasidic Jews.
Really sad, not much is scarier than to have your home +100 more crumble on top of you at 1:00 am.
2 bedrooms condos on the beach for $755,000 to $2.8 million and we are supposed to believe they were third world (Paraguay) immigrants???

All joking aside, this seems suspicious being its a Jewish oriented building .

The building is on a peninsula of beach, I’m pretty confident your are correct.
Buildings, at least those of a certain height should be anchored in bedrock - pilings have to go down pretty far in some circumstances. Of course, corners can be cut and explained away and approved by deceitful government and builders who can't make their square foot price point doing that. Witness the Millennium Tower in SF....now Tilting due to settling because government approved an alternative foundation scheme....guess who was mayor at the time? Gavin Newsome.....

I read somewhere that these where all built on sandstone, or was it limestone?
