Theres a pack near me. Not sure how big . I have only seen 1 early 1 morning about a half mile from the house. Good thing is 1 of my dogs likes to howl so I would think they take it as territory owned.

Guy I know has bulldogs he is mighty boastful about. He has three bulldogs and three other dogs at his place. Last night five coyotes came IN THE YARD and ripped them all new ones! Two bulldogs could barely hobble around today. Coyotes getting mighty brave around here.
Lol.
What's a good way to draw them in? Can I shoot them on my own property, do I need any special license?
I thought it was "all" season. Looks like I need a coyote call.
Fortunatly they all had their shots. It was the two female bulldogs that got the worst of it. One of them due to drop pups any day now.I think some of those coyotes were likely rabid.
Hopefully his dogs had shots. He should keep them penned until he is sure they are OK.
Maybe they were after the dogs' food-and were surprised, but it is very uncommon for a coyote (or group of them) to attack multiple large dogs.
-Might want to ask a ranger or vet what they think. My inclination is definitely to assume rabies-and keep in mind that rabies can be transmitted in many ways.
Can Anyone recommend a Coyote call thats effective and dont cost the same as a full set of new tires?

These are the best you can get, and they are not expensive. Tweety and Thumper do a great job. During the spring (mating) also use the howler. Back when I was a predator hunter these did very well...don't wanna brag or anything, but I was a bit of a local legend...![]()
