True, but it sure makes it easy to tell which are hole punchers, and which are FIRE starters.

Point being, you have NO way of knowing if you are shooting ball or tracer ammo if you buy mil-surp ammo.

You can pull a sample of several rounds and weigh them, examine the base of the bullets, etc. Not foolproof but better than spraying and praying.

Wouldn't have to show ammo to the range operators if mouth breathing, booger eating, snot dribbling morons could read and follow the rules.

This is why you don't shoot ****ing tracers at an indoor range. Has brought down a number of indoor ranges. Hope the person is prosecuted.

Most gun ranges won't let you shoot tracers... You signed something somewhere.
