Buyer Beware of Sky Guns International

interesting.. never seen a sky guns international rifle in the hands of a government agent.

I'd never heard of Skygunsint until a couple of months ago. Then suddenly, in the middle of the panic, here they are. Funny how that happens isn't it? As I've said before, I don't have a personal beef with Skyguns. However, I've learned to be skeptical of manufacturers claims over the years.

I've held off from responding to the post about government & foreign military contracts over the last couple of days, but it honestly raises more questions than it provides answers. A reference to "supplying" various LE Agencies could mean a lot of things. Does that mean they A) sold a gun to a guy with a badge at a gun show or B) sell parts to another company that has a contract or C) have actual contracts with these agencies? It just seems like a bold claim for a company that is relatively unheard of and the only people that can vouch for them met them at a gun show. When you add to that the low end, commercial specs for the parts used and the issues we've seen here with a gun that had severe extraction issues and was built on an incorrect receiver, I have a hard time understanding why any LE Agency would be willing to cut those kinds of corners.

Almost all "contract" providers to .gov are public and easily verified. Unless your a parts provider to another vendor.

This. Though the 20 might be his net, still low.

Not trying to tell you how to run your business, but if you are only making $20 on an $700 or $800 rifle, you need to rethink your business model. At less than a 3% profit margin, there is no way your business is profitable, let alone, pay your fixed cost of doing business( IE rent, payroll, other expenses, etc.)

You are backing up.

Had a buddy (member on here) order a red dot from him. After way too long my friend eventually goes to his house (business) and the guy gives him the red dot......Terrible ordeal

We currently supply the DOJ, DEA, DOS, TSA, US Forestry Service, GBI, numerous local Law Enforcement Agencies, numerous private security contractors ( in fact, this is our core business, I began building and refurbishing AK style rifles in my tent in Baghdad for private security contractors, we transitioned to AR platform rifles a few years back when these people were directed no more AK's) and are wrapping up a contract to supply a foreign military on behalf of a federal agency. Our current production run and possibly one more to follow will be the last with any retail production available for the foreseeable future. Stocking dealers will not be named as the market our weapons as their own at a different pricing structure. As for the folks slamming us about their "order", of the 500 retail slots, 498 orders have been filled, out of these 500 slots we had 1 cancellation at time of order because we could not give them a 100% guaranteed delivery date and 1 refund request because they purchased a rifle elsewhere.

Can you provide your CAGE and DUNS code?

Guess I'll throw my 2 cents here. I was in that part of the state last month, and had heard of Sky Guns, and wanted to check out their 'shop'. The address of the company is a house in a cookie-cutter subdivision. I know that happens from time to time with an FFL, but if you're an 07 FFL, how in the hell can you be building enough weapons to satisfy a gov contract in a one car garage. The whole thing felt fishy.

Would it not be better in the long run to give the guy back his money, ask him to close the thread, and not look like an ass in front of 25,000 gun loving members? If you Google "Sky Guns International" The ODT is the first result after the company site and all of the Sky threads have links to one another.

The restocking fee is really the ***** of the whole thing. It is sort of like saying "you are going to give me money no matter how long it takes to make your gun or how ****ty I treat you."

In the current environment, any mouth breathing retard turning out black rifles can make a profit, but that will not always be the case. One day soon we will return to normal. Value, quality, and service will matter again.

^^Yup yup. The part that I don't get is the seller saying there's a restocking fee on stuff he dosen't have. Not to mention, these days, you won't hold on to an AR for more than a couple of days. He's not gonna loose money buy refunding the customer.
