Caliber to carry to deal with agressive bears or mountain lion?

Mnt lion very rare in Georgia.
Black bears are generally not hard to discourage, but hard cast 10mm and .44 will do the job fine.
We carry G20 and 5.5 Redhawks at our Montana turf, for real bears.

I saw that a few weeks ago. Red tail fox chasing a bobcat along the ridgeline and then down the mountain. Screeching, barking and growling.

I have run into a black bear twice now on my property ...in case he/she comes at me.. what caliber is best? I usually carry a 45 with Hyrum a-shock jhp. Thoughts?

I think a 357 magnum, 41 magnum, or 44 magnum revolver would be among the best choices. A 10 mm Glock something like the Glock 20 would probably be excellent also.

That being said, I don't believe that I would go out and buy a new gun just for this purpose. If you've got a 45 ACP full size model that you like and will handle +P ammo, I would use that.
Maybe get an extra heavy load ordered from Buffalo Bore.

When I'm hiking in bear country I usually replace my 9 mm semi auto with a 6 inch barreled 357 magnum revolver. However, I don't carry any special ammo in it. I use a fairly common bullet weight --158 grain-- jacketed hollow point with an advertised muzzle velocity at 1550 ft./s.
