Good evening fellow ODT members. Just received this on the low price of $0.00. But fear I might have overpaid 🤣.
I have done a little research and do know it is a Ruger 10/22 model #31143. I would like to replace the stock with a wooden stock, which I may have found here on ODT from another member. I know I need a complete receiver and currently looking for one. I am not looking to have the best parts, stock ruger parts will be fine with me. Not looking to make a competition type 10/22 just one to go plinking with.

Factory bolt - send it Connecticut Precision Chambering
Factory Trigger - Send it to Brimstone
Barrel - Feddersen
Buy the Kidd guide rod, spring kit, and buffer.
Stock - whatever tickles your fancy
Set baseline accuracy with CCI Standard Velocity.

That's the issue! All I have is a barrel and stock. Was told that the complete receiver was put into some kind of bull pup setup years ago and I was given the rest earlier this week.
I know I can order aftermarket/ other branded parts but as stated not looking to dump a ton of cash on it just yet. Just looking to get it back to original working condition.
If anyone has any OEM parts please feel free to send a PM or reply here.

I am working on my own 10/22 trigger job process. The trigger is the only thing not useable as is on a 10/22. If you are going to spend any money the trigger is priority 1.

Thanks for that info. I will definitely keep that in mind and start looking. I know I will be spending money on it but don't want to go broke either 🤣.

You can find alot of parts for a 10/22 on ebay or gun broker. Best bet to keep you overhead down. Buy factory take offs if someone is willing to sale. (I know thats what ur asking for) . As for triggers. Learn to do trigger job urself (extremely easy!! ) Youtube. The only part thats hard to find obviously is the receiver itself. But here a link to the cheapest one I found . Good luck . If I can help with advice or tips. Pm me. I've built 100's of them over the past 20+ years.

I suggest buying a Charger receiver,
or a receiver that is not designated as either a rifle or pistol and you declare it to be a pistol as you build it. Get a pistol-grip only stock (or modify a rifle stock into a pistol grip only version) and build the gun as a pistol first, then it can be interchangeable as a rifle or as a pistol depending on how you want to configure it (just don't ever have a shoulder stock on it while a short barrel is in place.)
