CALLING THE ODT BODYSHOP GUYS

So, I had a new bumper and lower plastic piece replaced on my 2011 Dodge Durango after a hit and run. After about a week my dumb ass backed into someone. The damage to my car was just the plastic piece that is located under the bumper near the trailer hitch.

When I got the hit and run work done they said the plastic piece was the easy part because they didn't have to paint it. Just install a new one.

So, I'm wondering if any of you pros could give me a ballpark on how much another piece would be. Is it a pain in the ass to install? Thanks for the help. I am not looking to pay $500 deductible to fix something I just paid to have replaced if I can do it myself.

I can send pics of the piece and damage if that would help understanding what the hell im talking about.

Here is what i would do, others may tell you different, but i would go to the stealership, ask them for a hard piece of paper quote for replacing this piece.... the hard piece of paper quote should have the part number on it... take the part number and find it online for cheaper and install it yourself.

$ 100-150 for a lower bumper cover online. Should be easy to replace. Just make sure you get the right one, there are different part #'s for single or dual exhaust, color, no color, tow pkg.

Google is your friend. The hard part is having the right tool to pull the retainer pins . Should be under 250.00 and hour , hour n half. Be sure to get new pins. Taking out the old ones will mess up some..

Get the piece online they are already painted the factory paint code and make sure you also get the tabs or pins that hold it in place as you will destroy them removing it.
