Can a Business LEGALLY Refuse Cash As Payment

Technically, I think the op is right. Cash is marked as “legal tender”. Not so long ago you could get on airplane, rent a hotel room or a car with cash. Now, not so much. Ever wonder if forcing you to use plastic is just another way to track your every move?

No, I don't wonder--I KNOW "Big Brother" is watching...And compiling Lists...And...Well, you get the idea...

FWIW, our local landfill, Clarke County, has stopped accepting cash, OR cards OR checks. You have to give them your water bill number, and they add the charges to your water bill.

Ok, it official now. We will soon be in a cashless society.
I went by the Varsity in Athens today for a monthly chili dog fix.
Plastic only, no cash. We are doomed.

I would have taken the free $7 car wash. :)
Nice of him to offer that.

I also had cash refused at the landfill in Gulf Co FL near the beach. I had to use a card. I understand why, the workers may have been pocketing cash.
Makes sense.
