Sounds like you already shot it without the crown. If you shot a good group don’t mess with the crown. I would only crown if there is a noticeable burr or swap fibers stuck on the muzzle edge.
The only purpose of a crown is to protect the inside edge of the muzzle where the face of the muscle touches the bore.
Target guns often have no crown, just a countersunk recess to protect the muzzle --but the actual muzzle is just a 90° corner.
Some target rifles have a very shallow dish type crown that is going to perform just like a flat no-crown muzzle as far as shooting and ballistics go, but it still gives the muzzle some protection if you were to bump it on a concrete floor.
