My finance has these 3 pieces of paper almost like a bond or stock of some sort it’s hard to read all of it. I thought it was neat and trying to find some information on it.

from chatgpt:

This document appears to be a **vintage stock certificate**. Specifically, it's a certificate for **100 shares** in the **International Oil and Gas Corporation**, which was **incorporated under the laws of Delaware**.

Key features that help identify it:

* The ornate border design and intricate printing, typical of historical stock certificates.
* The company name in bold gothic-style font: **International Oil and Gas Corporation**.
* "Capital Stock \$1,000,000" and "Par Value of Shares \$1.00 Each".
* Issued to an individual (name is handwritten).
* Dated **December 9, 1929**.
* Signatures from corporate officers.
* The embossed seal on the left confirms its authenticity as a legal certificate at the time.

### Is it worth anything?

It could have **historical or collectible value**, even if the company no longer exists. Factors affecting value:

* **Rarity** of the certificate.
* **Condition** (yours shows some aging but is legible and intact).
* **Whether the company was notable** or played a role in history.
* **Collector demand** for oil industry or 1929-era stocks (especially considering 1929 was the year of the Great Depression's onset).

You can check potential value by:

1. Searching eBay for similar certificates.
2. Visiting a site like [Scripophily.com](https://www.scripophily.com) (specializes in old stock certificates).
3. Consulting a collectibles appraiser.

Let me know if you’d like help checking the company's history or evaluating it further!

I liquidated estates in California 1999-2001. Seen a lot of bathrooms wallpapered in these type documents.
I liquidated Villages in the Mekong 1967-1968. Seen a lot of hooch's with old French Francs on the walls before I burned them :spy:
