Cant get my nut off!

Finally got my gas block off but the damn barrel nut was put on by the hulk obviously. Bent/stripped my ar wrench trying to get it off. Can anyone help a mf out? Thanks

The staking is there to keep the screws from backing out. No damage is done to the block.
Back the screws out with a good allen wrench and slide off. When reinstalling stake it again in a different spot, good to go.

Thanks man, got it off. Now a new problem. The barrel nut is really on there. And my ar wrench bent/stripped out trying to get it off.

Just asking, but is the upper clamped down? I use a Pri wrench, and have never had any trouble.

What do you mean by clamped down? I had it in a vise if thats what you mean.

Cool, I've seen some try to man handle them on a bench. If you were closer, I'd lend you my wrench.

gober13 what brand wrench did you bend?

I'll be around the house most of the day tomorrow if you feel like riding to Danielsville to use my Tapco. It's pretty heavy duty.

I don't have a vice, but you can borrow the wrench to take home if need be.

I use this one but I had a time with the one on my Colt. It was really cranked on there.
