Can't make a decision!!! Glock 43 or S&W 9 M&P Shield

First, I am a Glock fan so I admit some bias. Just being honest up front. The OP asked for my opinion and this is just my opinion. I like Glock pistols more than S&W. Secondly, I have shot both of these guns and I like the prefer how the Glock feels in my hands. I prefer the trigger pull of the Glock too. Out of the box, it doesn't seem as heavy. Admittedly, it might because I have many and shoot them more often. That said, I am more consistent/ accurate with the Glock. I just shoot the Glock pistols better.

Even though it's a little bigger and a little heavier, I would prefer the G26 over either one of the choices. It is a double stack instead of a single stack, which gives you the option to carry more bullets. I always prefer options. Also, because it is a double stack 9mm, one can use any 9mm Glock mag in the G26, which I like. When I carry G26, I have a G17 spare mag in the truck. The G43 is a single stack and uses uses G43 mags only.

Lastly, I like having GLOCK in Smyrna. If there is an update or a problem, an hour of my time fixes it for free.

Hope this helps!

That's awesome man I'm glad you have found a pistol or brand of pistols that suit you perfectly. No one can deny the reliability and durability of glocks. But you're on a gun site and you straight up said the G43 was superior to the Shield. You knew someone was going to call you out lol.

I believe it is! IMHO! Ha!

Ok, don't need the manual safety. That is why I put what I did. To weed out those post. The only other thing about the shield is out of the box the magazine has one extra round but I know that with the Glock I can get a extended mag.[/QUOTE

Go safety..... You can turn it off. And will not bump back on. You never know, and adrenaline can do stupid things, so safety. Is good

So I'm getting one or the other this coming week... I need to make a decision and it's tuff. I like the Glock 43. I want one! But my problem is the S&W 9 M&P shield... the M&P shield has a manual safety, I like that for obvious reasons (it stays close to my important vitals and the most important part of me which makes me a man, get where I'm going with this...) with the Glock there is only the trigger safety. Now I'm very comfortable with glock and the safety. So the question is tell me why I should go with the S&W vs Glock 43, which is what I want. Need help with this one...

I HAVE A SHIELD AND EXTRAS FOR. SALE

You dont NEED the manual safety.....you may want it though! Also, there are more than just 1 safety on a Glock....just because you cant see them, doesnt mean theyre not there! Now, if we were talking apples to apples.....glock vs no safety shield, I would say its a toss up! If were talking apples to oranges....glock vs safety shield, go with the Glock! In the heat of the moment, the last thing you need is something keeping you from pulling the trigger when you need to!

Please read my previous post on this thread. It will make this argument alot easier. Roxyozzie you say your shield is for trade only. I don't have anything I want to let go for trade. Let us all know a cash price if your willing to sell. Thanks
