Can't make a decision!!! Glock 43 or S&W 9 M&P Shield

Had the same delima. Bought both, my hand likes the Shield. Sold the Glock for $.
Please explain why you sold the G43? Your hand could not be the only reason for this... (unless you did not shoot them) After shooting them both, what was your results? How where they once you put rds on target?

Actually, that was pretty much it. My grip felt more comfortable with the Shield so I shot it slightly better. That was the only thing that stood out to me at least, maybe the trigger was a little more familiar? I don't want to say the Smith was more accurate because I think the variance was the shooter.

And there is your answer, OP. Shoot them both and decide which one you like best.

I know the OP put the safety in as a red herring, but if your gun has a manual safety you absolutely need to use it, and train with it religiously so in a critical situation you don't forget to take it off..

While the Shield safety is small and stiff, and *probably* won't accidentally get turned on by mistake, Mr. Murphy and his Law says that the one time it will accidentally get moved to 'safe' is just before that situation comes up where you desperately need it.

Ive been running and carrying Shields nearly every day since 2012 and never has the safety accidently been engaged. I've never used the manual safety and never plan too. The only reason I don't just buy the version without the safety is because I run CA compliant Shields as I prefer tactile LCI's and mag safeties in my EDC's.

The OP, just wants to get in my 2 cents and I'll let it go. As I write this I'm carrying right now. My job requirements are that we are always ready to go no matter what. I keep my head on a swivel, so that if and when the moment arise that I need to use my primary weapon I do. With that being said we have been trained to operate with a safety and how to remember to take it off when needed. That was training, this is real world... I am always ready to go, no safety required. I have never shot myself or anyone I did not intend too. As for my secondary weapon. It is in the holster right now. My 1911 is one in chamber and the magazine loaded. The thing is, my safety is in the up and lock position, because it's my secondary weapon and it's not being used right now. If it becomes my primary weapon then I put it in the ready to go position... If I'm out on the town with my daughter and I'm concealed carrying then I have my G17 ready to go, (no manual safety) it is my primary weapon at that time. Damn it is bulky to carry. So that is the reason I'm getting a good concealed carry weapon. I don't care about weather the firearm has a safety or not, I just want it to work when I pull the trigger. So that is why I wanted to get everyone's input on there experience with the two weapons I listed. I might have put some parts in my original post I shouldn't, but it makes for interesting comments

It's nice and calm these last couple days so that is why I get to spend so much time on the odt right now. I'm board and we have been told to take it easy. So I'll be here all week. I must say this is fun thow...
