Cargo ship 'listing heavily' in Georgia port, 4 crew members missing ... (merged threads)

That ship w as just built or put into fleet use in 2017. Now it's gonna be many many tons of scrap metal. I mean I guess they could fix it but who would wanna sail on it now?
Meanwhile it's blocking the only path in and out of the port. So the employees at WWW, IAP, AVP, BMW and Mercedes can't work. I would bet that the ILA ( union long shoremen) are getting paid. This is the problem with port jobs. It's feast or famine. Either you're getting 15 to 20 hours overtime a week or working half days or laid off. My wife lost 2 weeks of work about this time last year because of faulty recall parts that originated at Subaru in Japan. The ripple effect was felt everywhere.

I reckon they’ll knock the dents out and put her back in service. That’s prolly a 200 million dollar boat.

Lol they might add a little lead near the bottom of the keel.
