carrying in car without permit

You HAVE TO keep the pistol in the glove box. The magazine in the center console, and the bullets in the trunk in a locked box. Only up to 7 bullets. Cuz....why do you need more than 7 bullets!?

I would call the local sheriff and ask them. I received a ticket for having my pistol concealed in my car without a permit a few years back. The officer was nice enough to tell me how and where to go and get my CCW. I had it the next week

You got screwed. I don't know what it was when you got your ticket, but that don't fly now. You don't need to ask any sheriff.

how few years? because the current law is that your car is an extension of your house...you may carry anywhere in your car including on your person, open or concealed, loaded or unloaded, etc.

The law has changed. As has been stated, your car = your house. No government permission slip is needed to exercise your 2A rights in those two places at least.

oh geeze, the 2nd amendment tax...exactly why there will never be constitutional carry in ga...counties don't want to give up all of that money...

NY is worse than that. Try to get a permit to even buy a pistol. GLWS. It takes 6 months and you have to give handies to the judge and sheriff.

With the number of people who have bowed to the state (over three quarters of a million) we could have CC if we wanted. But people can't be bothered and would rather pay for their permission. There was an active bill that would have allowed CC last session, yet GCO came out opposed for the most absurd reason. It's more about egos and power than money.

6 years ago it was perfectly legal to carry in the glovebox or openly on the seat without a permit.

About that time they also started to allow center console carry without a permit
