Carrying when there's a "No Weapons" sign.

screw those signs. if they can't see it, they will never know.
We lost another bar OTP this weekend... Southside Steve's closed it's doors for good Saturday.
The consensus looks like most would go in an carry on.... If it snuck up on me I would probably do the same.. I would not knowingly carry with previous knowledge....also I see no point in public open carry for private citizens..

As used in this Code section, the term:
(1) 'Bar' means an establishment that is devoted to the serving of alcoholic beverages for
consumption by guests on the premises and in which the serving of food is only incidental to the
consumption of those beverages, including, but not limited to, taverns, nightclubs, cocktail
lounges, and cabarets
If I'm already carrying concealed when I walk up to the door, I won't turn around & put my gun in the car. To me that's just asking for someone to watch you & then break into your car.
I'll either go somewhere else entirely & not risk being asked to leave or simply carry while I eat & walk out like normal.
The only time this changes is if I plan on having any alcohol. The moment that decision is made, the gun is off my person & out of my reach (in the car or left at home before we come in at all).
Personally, as long as you're being calm & not acting out like a jacka**, there's no way they'd know in the first place. If they ask you to leave, do so quietly & peacefully. I've been asked to leave before for wearing my pistol. I remained calm & asked the manager if I could pay for my goods before leaving. This shows them the respect that they deserve to be shown & in return, most of the time, good things will come from the situation. Optimistically you may help change the mind of the owner & they may decide that gun owners should be welcomed into their business.

I don't generally spend money with companies who actively work against my political views. I canceled my Costco Amex and membership after I learned of their hard left politics. I avoid Kroger because I don't support labor unions.
If I am out with friends (rarely) and we end up at Taco Mac, I am not going to be a dick and refuse to go inside nor will I disarm. If am in an area without a Publix, I may end up at Kroger. I translate the signs to say "go away, Dave, we don't want your money" and I would prefer to support institutions that welcome my kind. All that being said, my lack of patronage has not seemed to hurt them at all.
