"Cash" offer. Does anyone take checks? Or PayPal, or Jeweled Beads or something?

Out of curiosity whats the fear here?

Ive purchased optics, knives, etc in the thousands over digital payment.
No outright fear. Just polling to see how people feel about payment.

I prefer cash. I'd have to know / trust someone to take a check. And, as someone pointed out above, that check may have to clear my bank and your bank before any goods were exchanged.

USPS Money Orders are not what they used to be and, if we read the USPS threads, if the money order is "lost" it's hard to get refunded.

It looks like all the digital money transfer services say purchasing a firearm (and for some, ammunition or anything related to the 2nd Amendment) is prohibited.

(scroll down and they link every company's policy)

There is the possibility for someone to do a charge back with PayPal or Venmo if they used a CC and then you'd be stuck without a firearm or the money. Is that correct?

I was surprised to see Zelle on the list as they are bank to bank like an ACH transaction.

But even cash has its pitfalls. I've known more than one person who got hit with a counterfeit $100 bill from a buyer. Happens more often at gun shows when the money all gets mixed together. The banks recognize it, send it to the Feds and you're S.o.L.

Part of the question was about people that respond to a for sale ad with the term "Cash" or "Cash Money". It may be part of the vernacular as someone else has stated.
