Noticed this bald spot on our cat’s neck a few days ago. Has a history of ringworm, but this doesn’t look like it. There’s a small crusty spot in there. Thought at first it was a wound, but now not sure. She’s an indoor/outdoor cat that likes to stalk rodents and small animals, so that’s why I thought maybe she got caught on something or wounded. She’s otherwise been acting completely normal. Will let me inspect it as long as I don’t poke around too much.

Appreciate any thoughts. Thanks.

Doesn’t seem to bother her. Several days now. Noticed it after she spent the night outside and thought it was new, but wife said she noticed it the day before.

I would clean it and keep a close eye on it. It might be a deep bite that will slowly develop into a nasty abscess that requires meds. Or it might go away. I would look closely for another bite mark also

a few years ago my cat was bit by a tomcat above her eye and we didn’t even see the worst puncture hole until after we started treating the first abscess that I found.

I would monitor it a couple days....if the hair loss gets wider in area or you notice redness, any other changes consult a vet.
On the body ? Not on the ear area?
