The VA after 11 months of bone to bone contact on my hip, has finally set me up with a civilian Orthopedic specialist. I go the 1st of March and I am going to ask about this subject...The VA put out a statement through My Healthy Vet site stating, They will not prescribe it, but it is now ok if a Civilian doctor does..Will see

I understand that brother, iv'e always used the VA for all my appointments. I live far enough from the main VA hospital that all my Doctors are from the community care. I wish you and your wife well. I'll let you know what happen and you the same. Dan
