CD question

Then maybe you can afford professional advice vs reaching out for free ODT advice?

Just sayin'.

Apologies for the snappy answer. Frustrating looking for a safe place to put an inherented CD. I just had a 60 month 200k plus cd come due in May at 2% ...I found 1.75% 6 mo and 3.3% 60 month. I am sure in the next year cds will be 5% like the one I had 2003 bank cd 5.5% 60 month. Then went under 1%. So I payed my home off with 25 years left on a 30 year loan. Looks like a 6 mo.cd to see if the cds will go over 5%. I read inflation will increase groceries 25 to 50% by Sept.
Thanks

For the last couple of years, I've been viewing America's environment/economy the same as Japan's (lost decade) with negative interest rates.
We are in a state of preservation (or minimal loss) vs any true growth...hold on to what you can at any rate.

I did Cds for decades, now I'm trying to catch up. Cds will never keep up with inflation. Diversification is the best route. It's the only thing keeping me afloat
