Good evening ODT,
I recently picked up my first real boat (other than jon boats). A 19' Carolina Skiff center console with out a T-top. It has a(non working) fish finder and an off shore radio mounted on top of the console that are extremely weathered. My question is: anyone have this setup? Any suggestions, manufactured or homemade, for dry storage/protection for electronics. Google shows me many T-top box options, but I haven't found anything for an open console.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
ox.

Yes Sir, that is an option. My head is a good foot+ over the windshield so all that space is open for some sort of box if available,so I don't have to remove anything.

My electronics are bolted to the console and I remove them before I store the boat. To save space and reduce battery drain, you can go with a handheld VHF instead of the console mount. You need to have a hand held unit with your ditch gear anyway and you can keep a few spare batteries in your dry bag.
