Century C308 - Opinions please

I have a cetme, their older model (I bought it about 10 years ago). Never had a problem. Their newer model has the rail, paddlemag (but not the metal trigger group) which are a plus. The Cetme/HK/G3 forums have really good reviews on the newer models. You can't have a pretty decent rifle for what the entry PTR gun is.

How does it shoot suppressed? Did you need a thread adapter?

Not really. They just happen to push the most amount of guns (WASR, Galil, Cetme, etc) so their pool of problems is larger than most due to overall volume.
Most times IOINC = junk
Most times DDI = junk
etc
My PTR sounds good suppressed to me but I’m half deaf . It’s still quite loud

Nope just to see Don an AAC brake since in have qd can and it sounds good have never ran subs in it. But normal 7.62 is semi comfortable to shoot without ears but I wear them anyway.

I don't have any experience with the Century C308 but I did just pick up a PTR91 from here a few weeks back.

Haven't taken it to the range yet, but damn is this thing heavy. It's not a rifle I'd want to shoot off hand for long. Compared to my M&P10 it's a tank. Always wanted one though. Mine doesn't have the welded on rail but it did come with the scope mount. I may check the accuracy on it and make it a target style rifle, it has the newer target match barrel w- 1/12 twist on it so it'll be interesting what it shows. I did find a bunch of helpful links that I saved that should work with the Century as well.

If I like the accuracy I might play with it by adding a better locking piece, recoil buffer & maybe some wood furniture to lighted it up & look better. The aluminum hand guard on my gun now is pretty heavy.

Thanks for that info as I'm a lefty and really didn't consider that that might be an issue.
They aren't terrible, but I hated mine as a lefty (that said I once had a PTR91 and sold it as well). For the money I'd much rather have a PA10/AR10 for <$600, lighter, more accurate, more ergonomic. Honestly the only good thing I can say about the C308 is that magazines are dirt cheap.

Yeah as a lefty no no no . Don’t blame you there . One gun I love that is left my friendly is the FN FS2000. It’s lefty safe

It is a heavy platform. The length of pull feels long for me (I shoot an AR one to two clicks out), Im thinking of getting the stock assembly where I can use an AR stock on it.
